Why use rigid-flex boards?
First, reliability: the flexible and rigid board can solve the installation reliability problem of FPC.
The connection of the FPC through the connector brings installation costs, inconvenient installation, installation reliability problems, and at the same time, it is easy to short circuit, fall off and other problems. In the design of a certain mass-delivered barrel machine from Hikvision, we saw the phenomenon of repairing the FPC and the PCB after the FPC was installed. The rigid-flex board solves the problem of FPC installation reliability.
